How does it tell an emergency from a tune-up?

A rules engine checks every call for gas, carbon monoxide, fire, flooding, no-heat, and medical red flags before the AI responds. Those calls get a fixed, pre-written safety script. The AI can mark a call more urgent, never less.

Do I have to switch from ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, or Jobber?

No. Cortex works alongside whatever you use today, including paper. Direct integrations are on the roadmap. Tell us what you run.

What if my on-call tech sleeps through the page?

You set an escalation chain: if the first tech doesn't acknowledge within the time you choose, Cortex pages the next person, then the owner.

Will callers know it's AI?

Yes. Cortex introduces itself as your shop's automated assistant, and callers can ask for a person at any time.
